Seven Feathers RV Park and Casino

It was too late last night to realize it, but this is one of the top 5 RV parks we've been in. The spaces are wide, everyone has a little grassy spot and a picnic table, and the grounds are immaculate and it's a beautiful setting. It's run by the Cow Hearder Band of Umpqua Indians.

We decided to relax today, deal with the wheel problem tomorrow, and be in Seattle on Thursday. So we went to the casino, got our Player's Club card which gives us 10% off the RV park and 3 cents off gas. We each had $5.00 free slot play. On the second pull, Steve won $375. On the next pull, he won another $10.00. It was definitely "step away from the slot machine" time, which he did. I put $20 in the same machine and got butkus. We took a little of his winnings to the blackjack table and watched the dealer draw one blackjack after another for about 20 minutes, all the while telling ourselves that the probabilities just weren't working. So we left. All in all we got an hours' entertainment and lunch and made a very nice profit.

Canyonville is a cute little place. It has an Umpqua museum (closed today) and a little main street with antiques, restaurants, a gallery, and a fabric/quilt shop. We wandered around for a while and had coffee. I got some fat quarters (squares of fabric) at the quilt shop - maybe I'll make a vacation quilt.

Steve is on the phone with the guy who fixed the brakes yesterday. I think he's saying that having one really wheel is not a problem. While that doesn't sound completely rational to me, I'm prepared to go with it for now. Apparently we have to glaze it, or break the glaze or something. I'll keep you posted.
